ENVE Composites Bicycle Rims

ENVE Composite was established in 2006 as Edge Composites. The founder of Edge Composites gained his experience while working at LEW Composites and then Reynolds. These tenures have proven invaluable in the many innovations now implemented at ENVE Composites.
There are four features shared by all ENVE Composite rims. First, the In molded spoke holes (no drilling of the rim which insures that the nipple has the strongest interface of all composite rims.) Second, an aerodynamic profile which decreases drag and increases ride quality due to deflection. Third, a uni directional ultra high modulus carbon graphite. Fourth, bladderless molding which insures very high composite compression along with decreased weight. As the founder of the full composite clincher rim, ENVE Composites has incorporated 4 clincher models, the All Mountain 29er and 26in mountain rims, the Cross Country 29er and 26in, the 45C road rim and the 68C road rim. ENVE Composites also features two levels of their tubular rims which are varied in weight, the 1.45T, 2.45T, 1.68T and the 1.68T. Prowheelbuilder.com can custom build ENVE Composite wheels using the following hubs: White Industries, Chris King, Power Tap, DT Swiss, American Classic, Hope, Paul and many more.
New from ENVE Composites for 2010, the XC and AM rims are designed to work with UST tires (you will still need to use tape and a valve as the nipple holes will still need to be covered). All road rims have received an upgrade to there lay up schedule and all road rims now come with Swiss Stop brake pads.
Along with all these new innovations ENVE Composites has partnered with SMART AERO TECHNOLOGY which suggests that a new aero shape is in ENVE’s future.
