Stan's No tubes was established in 2001 by the Stan himself. Using his exceptional ingenuity, he devised the No Tubes tubeless tire system which has become the preferred method of converting a mountain bike wheel into tubeless world wide. Stan's No Tubes has extended his brand to now encompass rims. Utilizing the same ingenuity that helped him develop the tubeless system, he has devised a line of rims that maximizes strengths and minimizes weaknesses. Whether it be the Olympic, Crest, 355, Arch, or Flow all Stan's rims have something in common that sets them apart from others. That is the relocation of the TOP BRIDGE and lower profile. This increases the rigidly of the rims side wall, reduces weight and lessens the likely hood of pinch flats. The various attributes to the ZTR rim models are as follows: The Olympic is one of the lightest alloy XC rims in the world, the new Crest which balances both lightness and strength, the 355 is a solid XC rim which is offered in 26", 29er, rim brake and disc brake, The Flow is their Freeride / Downhill rim which comes in 26" and 29er, and then there is the Arch which is their All Mountain / Trail rim also coming in 26" and 29er. This is Stan's first attempt into the realm of road rim's and it is a success, the Alpha 340 rims are the lightest alloy clincher we have come across and is quite durable as well.
